How to Grow & Harvest Lemon Balm |
When to Plant Start your seeds indoors and then transplant them outside, into a larger container. You can do this as soon as the threat of frost has passed and your seedlings have their first set of "true leaves" on them. How to Plant Lemon balm will grow about 2 feet tall and has fragrant leaves that are "heart shaped". Choose an area that is either full sun or partial shade. Keep the soil moist, but well drained. The seeds do require light to germinate.
When to Harvest Harvest leaves from your lemon balm plant at any time. Dry indoors upside down, chop and store for later use. Use leaves fresh or freeze them. |
